Golden Gate Bridge
Connecting San Francisco with Marin County, this iconic bridge is one of the most photographed structure in all of California. The orange colored bridge looks brilliant with sparkling blue water in the background. There are a number of spots where you can go to take a photograph of the bridge yourself. The bridge is open to all vehicles and there are sidewalks for pedestrians and cyclists to use and enjoy.
Alcatraz Island
The Alcatraz Penitentiary on the Alcatraz Island is one of the most infamous prisons in all of America. The island provides beautiful views of the ocean and an interesting look into history through this penitentiary where once big-time criminals like Al Capone were held captive.
Fisherman’s Wharf
One of the most popular places for tourists to visit is the Fisherman’s Wharf. It was once called the Little Italy of San Francisco. It has a number of interesting tourist attractions including Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, Musée Mécanique, Ripley's Believe it or Not!, and Ghirardelli Square. Restored 19th- and 20th-century ships line the waterfront at the Hyde Street Pier, which is now the San Francisco Maritime National Historic Park.
